Ashland, Neb. – The St. Cloud State men's golf team, in the first spring competition of the season finished seventh in the Quarry Oaks Collegiate hosted by Augustana College and played at Quarry Oaks Golf Course in Ashland, Neb., on Saturday and Sunday.

Individual Scoreboard

The Huskies posted a two-day total of 624 with rounds of 307-317 to place seventh in the 12-team field. Minnesota State University won the team title with a score of 302-304 for a 606.

St. Cloud State senior Tyler Koivisto (Cokato, Minn.) was the top finisher for the Huskies. He climbed several spots to finish in an eighth place tie following rounds of 76-75 for a 151 on the par 71, 6,867 yard course.

The Huskies Drew Massey and Wyatt Hanson finished in a tied for 25^th place. Massey shot rounds of 80-76 for a 156 and Hanson shot 78-78. Chase Hahne tied for 29^th place with rounds of 73-84 for a 157. Jack Barnhart and Matt Bible had identical rounds of 79-83 for a 162 to tie for 45^th place. David Scharenbroich tied for 59^th place after posting 80-85 for a 165. Daniel Massey rounded out the Huskies line-up with a score of 82-87 and tied for 62^nd place.

St. Cloud State will resume its spring schedule on April 3-4 at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite.
