Huskies Tyler Koivisto qualifies for NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Golf Regional

Indianapolis -- St. Cloud State senior golfer Tyler Koivisto (Cokato, Minn.) has been selected to compete as an individual in the 2015 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, May 4-6. Koivisto will compete in the Central/Midwest Regional to be played at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Ill., hosted by Lewis University.
This marks the third straight year that Koivisto has competed in the regional championships. He is one of 32 student-athletes selected to the championships on an individual qualifying basis. The last two seasons he was a part of the Huskies team that was selected to play in the regional.
In 2014, Koivisto tied for 61st place in the overall standings at the Super Regional played in Eureka, Mo. In 2013 Koivisto finished in 82 place at the Super Regional in Kenosha, Wis.
This season, Koivisto averages 74.3 strokes per round and posted seven top ten finishes. He tied for sixth place at the 2015 NSIC/US Bank Men's Golf Championships on April 12. Â
