Who's that Husky?: RS Freshman Dana Rasmussen

The Kasson, Minn., native comes to SCSU from Ohio State University
Forward Dana Rasmussen comes to St. Cloud State after playing her freshman season at Ohio State last year. The Kasson, Minn., native played 19 games in her rookie season for the Buckyes and scored two goals and three points. Her first career goal came in her first game at Lindenwood University on Oct. 2, 2015. She will sit out this season after transferring and will suit up for the Huskies in 2017-18 as a redshirt sophomore.
Rasmussen played four years at Kasson-Mantorville High School, where she scored 220 goals and 370 points. She was twice named an All-State performer and was a Minnesota Ms. Hockey finalist her senior season. A two-sport athlete in high school, Rasmussen also played four seasons for the Komets softball team and helped lead the team to back-to-back state titles in 2014 and 2015.

Why did you choose SCSU?: Great atmosphere around the rink and the entire campus. It's smaller and fun.

Most memorable hockey moment: The last game of my high school career.
How old were you when you started playing hockey and what was your first team's name?: Five years old. The Yellow Submarines.
One thing people don't know about you: I can clap my feet as loud as I can clap my hands because of how flat my feet are.
Advice for young hockey players: Have fun and work hard and always be smiling while doing it.
Sport you'd like to try, but never have: Definitely gymnastics.
Something you never leave home without: My water bottle and headphones.
Plans/goals for the future: Be an operations manager or project manager at Mayo in Rochester and to build the house of my dreams.
