WCHA Announces 2026-27 Conference Schedule

Huskies set for 28-game slate that opens at Minnesota State October 2-3
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) announced its 2026-27 conference schedule on Wednesday, providing St. Cloud State Women's Hockey with 28 conference games across 14 series, spanning from early October to late February.
The 2026-27 composite schedule outlines weekend dates and opponents for each of the league's eight member institutions. Exact game days and times of each two-game series will be determined by the host institution, with the WCHA online composite schedule being updated accordingly. Nonconference matchups will also be updated on the composite schedule upon announcements from each league member.
The WCHA league schedule features 28 games for each team in 2026-27 as all eight programs play in two, two-game series (one home, one away) against each of the other seven member institutions. While the weekends are assigned, teams may opt to play Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, or for an agreed-upon home-and-home series.
The Huskies begin their battle for the Julianne Bye Cup (WCHA regular season champion) on Oct. 2-3 on the road at Minnesota State and their first home conference series at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center is slated for Oct. 23-24 against Bemidji State. SCSU closes its first semester of play at Minnesota Duluth December 4-5 and will open the 2027 portion of the schedule at home against Minnesota State. St. Cloud State will finish its regular season slate with a home-and-home against Minnesota on February 19-20. The WCHA Tournament First Round (best-of-three series) is scheduled for February 26-28 at home sites and the Final Faceoff will take place March 4 and 6.
The full 2026-27 Huskies Women's Hockey schedule including nonconference opponents will be released at a later date. All game times will be determined by the host institution.
