Women's Basketball Travels to Northern State and Moorhead for Pair of NSIC Games

St. Cloud, Minn.- The St. Cloud State Women's Basketball team will hit the road this weekend for a pair of games Jan. 20-21 against Northern State University and Minnesota State, Moorhead respectively.
The games mark the first time the Huskies play both teams who they faced twice last season.
The Huskies' first stop on the trip will be Aberdeen, S.D. where they'll take on the Wolves of Northern State (11-5, 7-5 NSIC). The Huskies were swept last season by the Wolves. Northern State took the first game 71-68 despite strong showings from Chelsea Nooker and Betsy MacDonald who put up 19 and 14 points respectively. The Wolves later traveled to Halenbeck Hall at the end of the season and won 75-61 over the Huskies. MacDonald again put up 14 points, with Andrea Thomas adding 13 points and Nooker led the team with seven rebounds.Â
The game is slated to start at 6 p.m., fans can watch all the action here or follow live stats here.Â
St. Cloud State will then travel north to Moorhead, Minn. where they will play the Dragons of Minnesota State, Moorhead (15-1, 12-0 NSIC). The Huskies and Dragons split last season's match ups with the Huskies winning the first game 65-59 in Moorhead. MacDonald put up 13 points in the game while Nooker grabbed 11 rebounds for the Huskies. Moorhead rebounded in the two teams' second meetings by defeating the Huskies on St. Cloud home turf 74-50. MacDonald added 12 points for the Huskies in the loss.Â
