SCSU's Troy Ryynanen earns top honors at Huskies Invitational

St. Cloud State University's Troy Ryynanen captured a top spot on the leaderboard at the 2017 SCSU Huskies Invitational, which was held at the St. Cloud Country Club on Oct. 1-2 in St. Cloud, Minn.
Ryynanen tied for the top spot along with Sam Otto of Bemidji State. The two golfers had a two-day total of 144 on the par 72 layout at the SCCC. Ryynanen tallied 72 on both days of the tournament, while Otto had a 70 after finishing his first day with a 74.
As a team, the Huskies placed third with 600 points. SCSU scored a 305 on day one and improved 10 strokes with a 295 on the final day of play. Manitoba was the winning team with a 591 (301-290), while Bemidji State was second at 593 (296-297). See link below for complete team scores.
SCSU's Riley Duncanson placed third in the tournament standings with a score of 146 (73-73), while Greg Koehn was 12th at 152 (75-77). The Huskies will complete the fall portion of their 2017-18 schedule with a trip to the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan. on Oct. 16-17.
