
SCSU Swim and Dive teams move up in national rankings

The SCSU women's team gained a number 18 ranking in this week's DII national team poll with a total of 31 points. Â The Huskies' previous ranking in the last DII national poll was 25th.
The SCSU men's team moved up to number 24 in this week's poll, which is three spots up from the Huskies' previous ranking of 27th in the DII national poll.
Both teams moved up in the polls on the strength of their recent first place finishes at the 2017 University of St. Thomas JoAnn Andregg Meet on Nov. 10-11 in St. Paul, Minn.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and the next poll is scheduled for release on December 19th.Â
The Huskies will return to action on Dec. 1-3 with a trip to the annual Rochester Invite in Rochester, Minn. Â SCSUÂ is prepping for the upcoming conference and NCAA championships, which will take place in February and March respectively. Â SCSU is the three-time defending NSICÂ champion in women's swim and dive and will compete for top honors at the 2018 NSICÂ championships on Feb. 14-17 in Fargo, N.D. Â The SCSU men's team will be headed south once again to Cleveland, Miss. for the 2018 New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference championships on Feb. 21-24.
SCSUÂ athletes who hit the qualifying standards will then advance to the 2018 NCAA Division II championships, which will be held in Greensboro, N.C.
