Huskies battle Division I foes at USD Tri-Duals on Nov. 3

The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed against NCAA Division I rivals South Dakota and South Dakota State at the USD Tri-Duals on Nov. 3 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
This two-day competition will wrap up on Nov. 4 with another set of dual meets against USD and SDSU in Sioux Falls, S.D. The SCSU men's team started the first day with a 155.00-88.00 loss to South Dakota and also dropped a 157.00-86.00 match against South Dakota State. On the women's side of the meet, SCSU lost a 143.50-99.50 match against the Coyotes and lost 140.00-103.00 to SDSU.
Andrea Bryson was one of SCSU's swim leaders with a first place finish in the 200 freestyle at 1:54.62. Teammate Jordan Fuse claimed a first for SCSU in the 100 butterfly at 57.71 and Jennifer Thompson tallied an impressive first place time of 52.98 in the 100 freestyle event.
SCSU's men were paced by Brian Burke with a first place time of 51.72 in the 100 butterfly and Anthony Schwartz with a top time of 51.82 in the 100 backstroke.
