Women’s Basketball Travels To Minot State and the University of Mary This Weekend

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team (6-3, 3-2 NSIC), after a break for Christmas, is on the road to North Dakota this weekend to take on Minot State (4-6, 1-5 NSIC) on Saturday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m. at the Minot State Dome and the University of Mary (5-7, 1-5 NSIC) on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at the McDowell Activity Center

- The program has lost five straight games since opening league play with a victory over the Marauders on Nov. 25.
- The program has been led by Holly Johnson, who is averaging 14 points per game.
- Johnson is also pulling down 6.3 rebounds per game.
- Kristal Flowers sports an average of 11.4 points per game.
- She is also shooting 57.5 percent from the field and is averaging 9.2 rebounds per game.
- Madison Wald is getting 9.8 points per game and is second on the team with her 11 steals.
- Kari Clements leads the team with her 28 assists.
- Diondra Denton leads the team with her 12 steals
- Minot State is averaging 64.8 points per game this season.
- The team is shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 76 percent from the line.
- The Beavers are coached by Mark Graupe, who is in his first year with the program after spending the last four years at Dickinson State

- The University of Mary defeated Minot State by a 70-45 score to end a four-game losing streak and picked up the first NSIC win of the season on Dec. 19.
- The Marauders will play against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Dec. 30, before welcoming in St. Cloud State for the Sunday matinee.
- Gabbie Bohl is the team leader with her average of 18.3 points per game.
- Bohl is shooting 54 percent from the field and leads the team in blocked shots with 12.
- She is third on the team with her average of 6.5 rebounds per game.
- Cassie Askvig is getting 12.8 points per game and leads the team with her average of 8.7 rebounds a contest.
- She is also second on the team with 29 assists and 11 blocks
- Lauren Rotunda has an average of 11.4 points per game and leads the club with her 24 steals and 36 assists.

- St. Cloud State won their only game of the week on Dec. 16 over Minnesota Duluth by a score of 58-52 at Halenbeck Hall.
- The win was the 200th in the career of head coach Lori Fish.
- The win was the 138thh in her 10 years at St. Cloud and she is only the third women's basketball coach in school history with 130 or more victories.
- Sophomore Madelin Dammann scored a career-high 20 points in the victory.
- Dammann shot 7-for-10 from the field and 3-for-4 from both three-point range and the free throw line.
