DULUTH, Minn. - Following a weekend sweep over NSIC opponents Southwest Minnesota State and (RV) Sioux Falls before the holiday break, the St. Cloud State women's basketball team (6-3, 3-2 NSIC) will hit the road to face Minnesota Duluth on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 PM.Â

Minnesota Duluth (5-3, 4-1 NSIC) is allowing the least amount of points per game (53.5) in the NSIC while SCSU ranks 2nd at 54.7.Â
SCSU opened their conference season against UMD on December 1st with a 42-53 loss at Halenbeck Hall. In the contest, SCSU shot 31.8 percent from the field (14-44), 21.4 percent (3-14) from beyond the arc and 64.7 (11-17) at the free throw line. The Huskies were able to force 13 UMD turnovers while eight different Huskies recorded one steal. Minnesota Duluth out-rebounded SCSU 36-35 and posted eight second chance points compared to the Huskies' five. St. Cloud State won the bench battle 22-19 courtesy of Brehna Evans' team-high of eight points while Katrina Theis also contributed six points and a team-high of two blocks.Â
Minnesota Duluth's Sammy Kozlowski, Brooke Olson and Sarah Grow each reached double-figures and combined for 33 of UMD's 53 total points.
