SCSU's Carter Doose ranks second after Day 1 at Blue Tiger Invitational

St. Cloud State freshman Carter Doose continued to post impressive first year numbers as he charted a 148 (74-74) in first day play at the Blue Tiger Invitational presented by Aflac on Monday, Oct. 14. The two-day tournament is being held in Jefferson City, Mo. at the Jefferson City Country Club.
Doose's first day score put him in second place on the leaderboard behind first day leader Gabe Trowbridge of Lincoln University, who carded a 147 (73-74).
As a team, the Huskies ranked fifth with a score of 631 (314-317), while Concordia-St. Paul led the scoring with a tally of 616. Fort Hays State (621), Lincoln (622) and Central (629) were the top four teams at the tournament on the first day. Newman (650) and Quincy (662) completed the field in Jefferson City.
Ryan Neff and Hunter Moen ranked second for the Huskies with scores of 160 on day one, which put them in a tie for 16th place. Quinn Massey finished with a 166 on day one and ranked 30th on the leaderboard and Spencer Hinrichs was in 36th place with a 171.Â
The second day of play at the Blue Tiger Invitational will finish on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
