Doose places third at Blue Tiger Invitational on Oct. 14-15

St. Cloud State University freshman Carter Doose carded a third place fnish at the 2019 Blue Tiger Invite, which was held at the Jefferson City Country Club on Oct. 14-15 in Jefferson City, Mo.
Doose finished the tournament with a three-round score of 224, which included scores of 74, 74 and 76. He was the top NSIC golfer at the event, which included teams from Concordia-St. Paul, Central, Fort Hays State, Lincoln, Newman and Quincy. His three-round total of 224 was eight over par and just three strokes of the winning score of 221 set by medalist Gabe Trowbridge of Lincoln University.
As a team, SCSU placed fifth with a score of 944 (314-317-313) and Concordia-St. Paul won the team title with a score of 917. Central (936), Fort Hays State (937), Lincoln (938), Newman (964) and Quincy (979) completed the seven team field.
In addition to Doose's top three tally, SCSU's Hunter Moen placed 12th with a score of 236 (81-79-76) and Ryan Neff was 15th at 239 (77-83-79). Quinn Massey placed 32nd for SCSU at 248 (82-84-82) and Spencer Hinrichs was 39th at 255 (90-81-84).
The tournament marked the end of the fall portion of the Huskies' 2019-20 schedule.
