Volleyball remains in top-10 in AVCA poll

ST. CLOUD, MINN. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team held its place as one of the top-10 teams in Division II. After a 2-1 week, the Huskies were No. 9 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll, marking their ninth consecutive week ranked in the top-25.
St. Cloud State and Regis flipped spots at No. 8 and No. 9 after last week in a poll that featured very little movement amongst the top-15. The Huskies were also one of four teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) ranked in the AVCA top-10 and one of eight in the top-25.
Individually, St. Cloud State has several players that rank in the top of the nation in their respective statistical categories. Maddy Torve (Loretto, Minn. / Heritage Christian Academy) ranked fifth in the nation in assists/set (11.84), while senior libero Clara Krenz (Oakdale, Minn. / North St. Paul) ranked ninth in digs/set (5.90) after the weekend.
The Huskies will close the regular season this weekend, as they travel to face #16 Winona State and #21 Upper Iowa in this upcoming Friday and Saturday.
