
St. Cloud State wrestling finishes undefeated in the regular season

Sioux Falls, S.D. - The #1 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (20-0, 8-0 NSIC) remained undefeated thanks to a 31-3 victory over #14 Augustana (5-4, 4-4 NSIC) on Thursday, Feb. 14 in Sioux Falls. SCSU secures their eighth consecutive NSIC championship win.
St. Cloud jumped out to an early lead against the Vikings, only losing one match in the Thursday night meet.
The Huskies now look on to the post season run which begins Feb. 23 at the NCAA Regional Tournament in Moorhead, MN.
The defending national champion Huskies have now won 48 consecutive dual matches dating back to Jan. 14, 2017. The Huskies have also won 61 consecutive NSIC dual matches dating back to an 18-13 loss to Augustana on Jan. 27, 2011. Since that loss, SCSU has won seven consecutive NSIC titles in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012.
