Duncanson leads SCSU to 4th place finish at UIU Invite

The St. Cloud State men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2018-19 schedule with a fourth place finish at the UIU Spring Invite, which was held at the Prairie Linkks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa on March 30-31.
SCSU placed fourth with a score of 622 (317-305), while Upper Iowa placed first with a 604, Minnesota State was second at 6-5 and Sioux Falls placed third at 616.
The Huskies were led by Riley Duncanson, who had a two-day score of 149 (76-73), which put him in a tie for fourth. Teammate Troy Ryynanen placed sixth with a score of 150 (77-73) and Alex Schwab placed 18th at 159 (80-79). Mitch Rice (32nd place, 87-80=167) and Quinn Massey (32nd place, 84-83=167) completed the field for the Huskies.
SCSU will continue its 2018-19 golf schedule with a trip to the NSIC preview on April 4-6 at the Shoal Creek G.C. in Kansas City, Mo.
