SCSU's Troy Ryynanen earns All-NSIC accolades at NSIC championships

St. Cloud State senior Troy Ryynanen earned All-NSIC status for the third time in his career with a ninth place finish at the 2019 NSIC men's golf championships, which were held at the Shoal Creek G.C. in Kansas City, Mo. on April 18-20.
Ryynanen posted a 73 on the final day of the tournament to gain a 222 total score (75-74-73), while WInona State' s Ben Jasper won top honors with a 214. Of note, Shoal Creek is a par 71, 6904 yard layout.
As a team, SCSU placed ninth overall with a score of 956 (321-322-313). Winona State won the team crown with a score of 870, followed by Concordia-St. Paul (896) and Bemidji State at 901. Minnesota State (903), Sioux Falls (917), Minot State (922), Upper Iowa (936), Augustana (942) and Minnesota Crookston (969) complete the field at this year's NSIC meet.
SCSU's other top placers included Riley Duncanson in 29th place (235=78-79-78), Alex Schwab in 43rd place (247=83-81-83), Mitch Rice in 47th place (256=85-88-83) and Quinn Massey in 49th place (262=95-88-79).
