ST. CLOUD, MINN. – Usually, October means fall colors, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes and St. Cloud State University volleyball matches. This October, that is not the case. Though the Huskies may not officially take the court until the spring, fans will have a chance to interact with the team, as they host two youth clinics October 23 and 24 for boys and girls grades kindergarten through eighth.
The Fall Skills Clinics for girls and boys grades K-8 will take place on Friday, October 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m and Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Both sessions will take in place in the Halenbeck Hall gym on St. Cloud State's campus, and cost for the clinics is $40 per session. Each clinic will focus on the development of the basic skills of volleyball (serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defense) with Huskies volleyball student-athletes and coaches. Campers will have the opportunity to apply the skills learned through instruction during camp with various games, competitions and 6-on-6 play and will be separated into age appropriate groups.Â
