Jenniina Nylund makes Finnish Senior National Team ahead of IIHF World Championship

St. Cloud State Women's Hockey forward Jenniina Nylund has officially made Finland's Senior National Team roster ahead of the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship held in Calgary, Alberta this month. This marks her first appearance on the World Championship roster.
Nylund has played 34 games in her career with the Finnish Junior team, scoring 14 goals and adding 11 assists for 25 points. She turned in an outstanding 2020-21 campaign with the Huskies, ending her junior season leading the team with seven goals. The Pietarsaari native was named an alternate captain entering this coming season.
The 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship will take place from August 20-31 at WinSport Arena at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
