Huskies Have Impressive Showing Against Omaha-Nebraska

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State Swim & Dive team began their competitive season against Omaha-Nebraska on Friday, with the men's team earning a win while the women's team fell short of the win. The Huskies had an impressive showing, with each team earning multiple wins in individual events.

Team Scores

The men's team defeated Nebraska-Omaha, 129-114, while the women's team fell to the Mavericks 144.5 - 93.5.

Top Huskies

Freshman Izzy Koebele picked up a win in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:48.28 and got third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.05.
Junior Kara Cowell won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.36
Sophomore Owen Teague earned the Huskies a pair of victories in the distance events, win the 500-yard free with a time of 4:53.70 and the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:03.02.
Junior Emile Dost took home wins in both the 200-yard IM (1:56.33) and the 100-yard butterfly (51.68)
Junior Raf Hendriks won both the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.62) and the 100-yard backstroke (49.45)

The Huskies will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to compete against Augustana and Sioux Falls on Saturday October 1^st.
