Two bronze finishes and six NCAA B-cut times highlight final day of competition

HOLLAND, Mich. – The St. Cloud State Men's Swim & Dive team earned two top-three finishes and six NCAA B-cut times on the fourth and final day of competition at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Monday in Holland, Mich. In the team standings, the Huskies finished in fourth place with 479.5 points.

After swimming a NCAA B-cut time of 1:45.65 in the prelims, senior Matt Pietsch (Cheyenne, Wyo.) earned a third-place finish in the finals with a time of 1:46.54. The 400-yard freestyle relay team then posted the final top-three finish of the meet, with junior Piotr Kowalczyk (Warsaw, Poland), senior Cade Rosenwald (Brainerd, Minn.), junior Reid Tigges (Spencer, Iowa) and senior Avery Morton (Pinckney, Mich.) finished third at 2:56.78.

SCSU has now finished in fourth place or better in all eight GLIAC Championships since joining the conference in 2019, with its highest finish coming in 2023 with a third-place finish.

Next up for the Huskies is the NCAA Championships, set for March 11-14 in Evansville, Ind.
