10 personal bests fall as Huskies Cross Country enjoys stellar WaxLax effort

10 of 11 St. Cloud State runners establish new PR’s as Huskies take fourth in the meet
SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. – A whopping 10 of 11 Huskies set new personal bests as St. Cloud State Cross Country finished fourth of seven at the 2022 WaxLax Invitational. SCSU landed five runners among the top-25 finishers at Wapicada Golf Club.
 
Iris Guider, Greta Freed, Lauren Sertich, Clara Welhouse, Erica Conrad, Cambrie Kowal, Allie Butte, Laura Stevensen, Marianna Guerra-Reese and Jaileen Medina each set new personal bests to support the strong St. Cloud State performance.
 
Cheresa Bouley finished 13th with a 22:35.3 time to lead the Huskies runners. Iris Guider (23:19.2) and Greta Freed (23:19.2) landed 18-19 while Lauren Sertich (25th, 23:38.1) and Clara Welhouse (28th, 23:49.0) rounded out the Huskies' top-five.
 
Erica Conrad (35th, 23:54.9) and Cambrie Kowal (44th, 24:30.8) earned top-50 finishes followed by Allie Butte (25:21.9) and Laura Stevensen (25:21.9). Marianna Guerra-Reese (26:17.8) and Jaileen Medina (26:30.6) closed out the SCSU effort.
