SCSU Cross Country set for 2022 NSIC Championships

Women’s 6K to start Saturday at noon CT in Wayne, Nebraska
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Cross Country will compete at the 2022 NSIC Cross Country Championships this weekend held in Wayne, Nebraska on Saturday, November 15th at the Wayne Country Club.
"Championship time is always a fun part of the season," said head coach Sam Kettenhofen, "I am looking forward to seeing this group race in the very competitive environment the NSIC always presents."
The Women's 6K race is expected to begin at noon CT following the Men's 8K race. Admission to the Championships is free with live coverage available on the NSIC Network – the broadcast link can be found on the St. Cloud State Cross Country page.
"We have run well – especially as of late – and I have a lot of confidence in the team's ability to compete at this weekend's Championship," continued Kettenhofen, "It should be a fun race!"
Official results for the meet will become available on SCSUHuskies.com shortly after the Championships have concluded.
Huskies Cross Country is coming off a very successful race at the WaxLax Invitational – 10 of 11 St. Cloud State runners set new personal bests to earn a fourth-place team finish. Leading the Huskies in the race was Cheresa Bouley, who finished 13th with a 22:35.3 time, while Iris Guider (18th, 23:19.2), Greta Freed (19th, 23:19.2), and Lauren Sertich (25th, 23:38.1) all finished in the top-25.
Last season at the NSIC Championships, Cheresa Bouley earned Second Team All-NSIC honors by finishing 16th at 22:41.84 while leading the Huskies to a 10th place team finish.
The NCAA Central Region Championships will take place in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday, November 19th.
