
Castor, Blue-Liners Lead No. 4/5 St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey to Victory over Colorado College

Castor key in net with 28 saves, Anhorn and Bushy score in 3-1 win
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A defensive battle resulted in a 3-1 victory over Colorado College (5-7-1, 2-2-1 NCHC) for No. 4/5 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey (10-3-0, 3-2-0 NCHC) on Friday night at Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. Both team's goaltenders played outstanding, as two funny bounces were the only scores in the first 55 minutes of the game before senior defenseman Dylan Anhorn (Calgary, Alberta) scored the game-winning goal on a rebound with 3:32 left in the game.
TURNING POINT
After a shorthanded, 180-foot goal from graduate defenseman Brendan Bushy (Thief River Falls, Minn.) in the second period, Colorado College's score from Noah Laba at the 5:31 mark of the third period knotted the score at 1-1. The game was tightly contested throughout the rest of the third period before Anhorn's score on a rebound from a shot from senior forward Micah Miller (Grand Rapids, Minn.) found the back of the net for the game-winner.
Senior forward Zach Okabe (Okotoks, Alberta) later added an empty net goal to make the score 3-1.

- Senior forward Jami Krannila (Nokia, Finland) made two assists in the game.
- Defense was the name of the game once again for the Huskies, as they recorded their seventh game allowing one or less goals in a game.
- The Huskies turned away both chances on the power play for Colorado College to improve to 84.3 percent (43-of-51) on the penalty kill this season.
- With the win, St. Cloud State improved to 9-1-0 when scoring first and 8-0-0 when leading after two periods.
- Anhorn scored his third goal of the season and the 16th of his career his third period score. It also marked his second career game-winning goal.
- Bushy scored his first goal of the season and the third of his career with his first career shorthanded goal.
- Okabe added an empty netter right before time expired, his sixth goal of the season and 30th of his career.
- Castor's 28 saves marked the fifth time this season and the ninth time in his career he has made 25 or more saves.
- Krannila added two assists in the game, his fifth multi-point game of the season and 20th of his career.
- Miller and sophomore defenseman Jack Peart (Grand Rapids, Minn.) recorded assists in the contest.
- Sophomore defenseman Josh Luedtke (Minnetonka, Minn.) matched a career-high with four blocks.
