Huskies take on the Bulldogs in NSIC match-up
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team will travel up to Duluth, MN to take on Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) rival the (RV) University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. The Huskies will play at the Romano Gymnasium Sunday, December 18th.
Sunday's game will tip-off at 3:00 p.m. The NSIC Network will provide the game stream and Steve Linzmeier, the Voice of Huskies Basketball, will provide the audio on the Varsity Network App. Live stats will be available on the UMD men's basketball schedule page.
Previous Match-up
The last match-up between the Huskies and Bulldogs earlier in the year kept you on the edge of your seat. It was a back and forth battle as each team attempted to take control of the game. The game was tied 85 apiece at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime to determine the winner. In the end, UMD took the lead while the Huskies had trouble finding the basket as the Bulldogs won the contest 94-89 in overtime.

UMD sits at 9-2 overall and holds the top conference spot with 5-0 in NSIC play. The Bulldogs have conference wins against St. Cloud State, Minnesota Crookston, Bemidji State, Minot State, and UMary. Additionally, UMD has the top scoring offense in the NSIC averaging 84.7 points per game.
Redshirt senior guard Drew Blair leads the Bulldogs in scoring averaging 20.3 points per game which ranks him 5th in the NSIC for scoring. Last time Blair met the Huskies, he scored 38 points against St. Cloud State. Junior forward Austin Andrews earned NSIC Player of the Week honors last week for his weekend performance. The junior forward averages 14.3 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. Andrews ranks 5th in the NSIC for rebounding and 2nd for field goal percentage at .615.
