No. 2 Huskies to wrestle No. 10 Augustana for 2021-22 NSIC Championship

St. Cloud, Minn. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Wrestling closes out their 2021-22 regular season campaign with a road dual at No. 10 Augustana on Thursday, a match featuring the final two undefeated Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams. The winner will be crowned 2021-22 NSIC Champions, with the Huskies seeking their 11th consecutive conference title. Thursday's dual is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. CT at the Elmen Center.

The Huskies defeated Augustana 25-9 last season with a pair of bonus point wins – a Billy Pitzner pin of Kolby Kost at 184 and a major decision courtesy of Paxton Creese at 125. Thursday's dual is likely to feature a handful of matches carrying significant seeding weight ahead of the Super Region V Tournament, with ranked bouts scheduled for 125, 133, 174, 184 and heavyweight.
