Huskies Cross Country takes fifth at St. Olaf Invitational

Bouley and Guider earn top-20 finishes among 260 total competitors
NORTHFIELD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Cross Country finished fifth among 20 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday in Northfield.
Cheresa Bouley (13th, 23:22.4) and Iris Guider (19th, 23:32.4) each finished top-20 in a race that featured 260 athletes. Greta Freed (42nd, 24:40.1) and Lauren Sertich (48th, 24:54.9) joined them in the top-50 while Clara Welhouse (67th, 25:18.8) rounded out the Huskies' top-five.
Cambrie Kowal (74th, 25:25.8) earned a top-100 finish while Erica Conrad (114th, 26:12.2), Allie Butte (122nd, 26:21.0) and Jaileen Medina (150th, 27:14.0) landed among the first 150 finishers. Marianna Guerra-Reese (181st, 28:10.2) closed out a strong morning for SCSU on the course.
The race was the first collegiate 6K for each of the Huskies first-year athletes.

It was nice to get on the 6K distance and build our confidence and experience moving into the rest of the season.
