
Relay Squad Wins Conference Championship at GLIAC Championships

Huskies' 400-yard medley team crowned champion, Hendriks finishes third in 200-yard freestyle
HOLLAND, Mich. – St. Cloud State Men's Swim & Dive crowned another conference champion and had one other top-three performance on the second day of competition at the 2023 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Thursday in Holland, Mich. The Huskies 400-yard medley relay team won a conference title, SCSU's fourth of the meet, while junior Raf Hendriks (Berg en Terblijt, Netherlands) earned a bronze medal finish in the 200-yard freestyle.

After the second day of competition, the Huskies sit in fourth place with 257.5 points, trailing Grand Valley State (470.5), Wayne State (280.5) and Northern Michigan (266.5).

- St. Cloud State captured the conference crown in the 400-yard medley relay, where Hendriks, junior Emile Dost (Emmen, Netherlands), senior Jayden Porter (Bismarck, N.D.) and freshman Mason Beck (Dickinson, N.D.) recorded a time of 3:13.16
- In the 200-yard freestyle, Hendriks clocked a time of 1:37.37 to finish third.
- Sophomore Dylan Apicello (Colorado Springs, Colo.) produced a sixth-place finish in the 3-meter dive with a score of 400.80.
