Fan Gathering & Watch Party Options for SCSU’s NCAA Tournament Appearance

Fans in Fargo will gather at Bulldog Tap, watch party options will take place in St. Cloud and Maple Grove
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics will be hosting a pre-game gathering and is offering three watch party options for fans who are unable to attend SCSU's NCAA Tournament appearance in Fargo, N.D., on Thursday, March 23 against Minnesota State. In Fargo, the official pre-game spot is Huskies Headquarters and will be at Bulldog Tap beginning at 1:00 p.m. CT. All traveling fans, family members and alumni are encourage to gather at Bulldog Tap before heading to Scheels Arena.
Away from the game, fans can choose between the Green Mill in St. Cloud, the Atwood Theatre on campus or Dave and Busters in Maple Grove to cheer on the Huskies in their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance. Fans are encouraged to wear their red and black and cheer loud for the Huskies, who drop the puck at 4:00 p.m. CT against Minnesota State.
The No. 2-seeded Huskies (24-12-3) will square off against CCHA Regular Season and Tournament Champion and No. 3 seed Minnesota State on Thursday, March 23 at 4:00 p.m. CT at Scheels Arena in Fargo, N.D. St. Cloud State is 60-61-3 all-time against the Mavericks, including a Husky series sweep on Oct. 21-22. The two teams have met in the NCAA Tournament once before, with the Huskies earning a 5-4 win over the Mavericks at the NCAA Frozen Four on April 8, 2011. The winner of the SCSU-MSU matchup will faceoff against the winner of No. 1 seed Minnesota and No. 4 seed Canisius, who play at 8:00 p.m. CT on Thursday.
