
St. Cloud State Swim & Dive Teams Earn CSCCA Scholar All-America Team Recognition, Six Earn Individual Scholar All-America

The Huskies women posted a team GPA of 3.50 and the men 3.03 for the spring 2023 semester
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Both St. Cloud State Swim & Dive teams earned recognition for their efforts in the classroom, as the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its list of 2022-23 Spring Scholar All-America Teams and 2022-23 Individual Scholar All-Americans. The Huskies women posted a team GPA of 3.50 to earn the honor, while the men posted a 3.03 GPA.
Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standing.
Additionally, six Huskies earned Individual Scholar All-America honors. To be named First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the "b" time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet. For the men, junior Raf Hendriks (Berg en Terblijt, Netherlands), senior Jayden Porter (Bismarck, N.D.) and senior Abe Townley (White Bear Lake, Minn.) earned first team honors, while junior Didac Silva Alcoba (Ampsota, Spain) was named to the second team. For the women, senior Meredith Matchinsky (St. Cloud, Minn.) was named to the first team while sophomore Meredith Bangs (Muskego, Wis.) was named to the second team.
