
St. Cloud State Women’s Hockey Names 2023-24 Captains

Taylor Lind to wear the “C” for a second season while Klára Hymlárová, Emma Gentry, Dayle Ross, Addi Scribner and Grace Wolfe will serve as assistant captains
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey has named six captains entering the 2023-24 season. Fifth-year forward Taylor Lind will wear the "C" for a second campaign as the Huskies' captain while fifth-year forward Klára Hymlárová, senior forward Emma Gentry, junior defender Dayle Ross, fifth-year forward Addi Scribner and junior defender Grace Wolfe will wear the "A" as assistant captains.
Lind becomes the program's fourth two-year captain, joining Kenzie Wylie (2020-22), Kobi Kawamoto (2001-03) and Tara McNamara (2000-02) as one of just three Huskies to wear the "C" for two seasons. Hymlárová skates with the "A" for a second season while Gentry, Ross, Wolfe and Scribner each wear a letter for the first time in their careers.
The Huskies' six captains in 2023-24 are the most in program history, surpassing their previous high of four acting captains carried in 2001-02, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Taylor Lind enters her fifth season with the program owning 67 points in 112 collegiate games on 23 goals and 44 assists, fresh off a terrific senior year in which she ranked second in assists and third in points despite missing 11 games midway through the season. Lind served as the Huskies' captain in 2022-23, providing eight goals and 14 assists for a 22-point season. Originally from Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Lind has recorded back-to-back 20-plus point seasons for St. Cloud State.
Klára Hymlárová enters year five in a Huskies sweater with 28 goals and 37 assists for 65 points in 106 collegiate games. The longtime top-six fixture tied her career-high with 26 points last season on 17 goals and an assist while ranking third across the NCAA with eight goals on the power play. Hymlárová is well-known on the international circuit as a leader on the Czechia Senior National Team, earning two Bronze medals at the World Championships while appearing in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Emma Gentry begins her fourth season with the Huskies in 2023-24 after being selected to the U.S. Collegiate Select Team in August, helping the United States sweep Canada in a three-game series. She enjoyed a strong junior campaign with St. Cloud State last year, skating in 36 games while scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists for 22 points. Across 85 games during her three seasons at SCSU Gentry has scored 34 goals with 18 assists for 52 points.
Dayle Ross opens her third season with St. Cloud State as the returning NCAA blocks leader, breaking the Huskies' single-season record with 104 in 37 games. Through two collegiate seasons Ross has skated in 70 games and has blocked 166 shots with two goals and 16 assists for 18 points. Fresh off a 15-point sophomore campaign, Ross led all Huskies defenders with 44 shots on goal and was second in both points and assists last season.
Addi Scribner opens her fourth campaign at SCSU looking to build off a breakout 2022-23 season in which she appeared in 37 games with nine goals and seven assists for a career-high 16 points. Through 93 collegiate games, Scribner has scored 14 goals with 16 assists for 30 points while skating as both a forward and a defender over the course of her career. She won nearly 50% of her draws last season while shooting a strong 13.43%, adding 67 shots on goal, and was named a Hockey Humanitarian Award nominee.
Grace Wolfe begins year three with the Huskies following a stellar sophomore campaign that saw her rank second in the NCAA with 83 blocked shots while leading all Huskies defenders in goals, assists and points. Wolfe delivered two goals and 16 assists for 18 points across 37 games and added 83 blocks on the second pair. Through two seasons, Wolfe has skated in 69 games with a 2-19-21 line and 127 career blocked shots.
