
No. 9/10 Women’s Hockey to Host No. 1 Ohio State Hockey Day Minnesota Weekend

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's hockey team (15-8-1, 10-7-1 WCHA) is set to take on No. 1 Ohio State (20-2-0, 17-1-0) on Friday and Saturday. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. CT while Saturday's is set for 1 p.m. CT.
SERIES HISTORY
The Buckeyes have the 59-32-11 advantage over St. Cloud State in 102 total meetings. At the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, St. Cloud State has gone 17-30-3 in 50 total meetings. Last time the two teams met was earlier this season in Ohio. The Huskies were able to split the series with No. 1 Ohio State, taking down the Buckeyes for the first time since 2017. Greta Henderson scored the first goal of her collegiate career to tie the game at one a piece before CC Bowlby would tally another, sending the Huskies past OSU 2-1 in game one. In game two of the series, the Buckeyes were able to bounce back by a score of 6-2. In the game two loss, Laura Zimmermann and Taylor Lind would be the Huskies to find the back of the net.
Last time the teams met at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center was on January 20 and 21, 2023. On Friday, the Huskies were taken down by a score of 2-6. Emma Gentry and Dayle Ross were the two Huskies to score against Ohio State. Game two was much closer as the teams were forced into overtime. Addi Scribner scored against her former team and Svenja Voigt scored the game tying goal in game two but the Buckeyes were able to walk away with the series sweep by a score of 3-2.
