Posch and Mbereko combine for 61 saves in 1-0 overtime win for CC
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – No. 11/10 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey (9-4-0, 3-1-0 NCHC) played to a 1-0 overtime loss with No. 7/8 Colorado College (9-2-1, 3-2-1 NCHC) on Saturday evening at Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs. Sophomore goaltender Isak Posch (Umea, Sweden) matched a season-high with 34 saves while his counterpart, Kaidan Mbereko, made 27 saves and held the Huskies off the scoresheet.
The goaltender's duel did not come without chances to score, as the Tigers recorded 35 shots on goal and the Huskies 27. CC had three power play chances stopped while the Huskies lone chance on the man advantage was also turned away. Posch made 14 of this game-high 34 saves in the second frame and shut down two Tiger power plays in the game's middle 20 minutes.
In the overtime period, CC's Philippe Blais-Savoie scored with 1:01 remaining to earn the win and series split.

- Posch made 34 saves, matching his season-best from his season-opening performance against St. Thomas (Oct. 6) and marking the ninth time in his career he has made 30 or more saves in a game.
- Posch allowed one or fewer goals for the fourth time this season and 11th time in his career.
- Falk, sophomore forward Tyson Gross (Calgary, Alberta) and senior defenseman Josh Luedtke (Minnetonka, Minn.) all set career-highs in blocks at five, four and four, respectively.
