St. Cloud State captures second win of the season
Kansas City, Mo.- St. Cloud State Men's Basketball (2-1) secured their second victory of the season with a 79-73 win against Central Missouri. Trailing 9-11 in the first five minutes, the Huskies grabbed momentum as a three-pointer by Anish Ramlall capped off a 17-3 run for St. Cloud State as they held a 26-14 lead with 8:43 left in the first half. St. Cloud State held that lead for the remainder of the half as they held a comfortable 43-32 lead at halftime. Despite the double-digit lead at the break. the Mules fought back with a 10-2 run as the Huskies lead diminished to three points. The teams continued to battle late in the game as SCSU could never shake Central Missouri. Holding a 70-66 lead with 3:22 remaining in the game, the Huskies finished two layups to take a 74-66 lead with 95 seconds remaining. Central Missouri made one last push in the game with a 4-0 run as St. Cloud State led 74-70 with 22 seconds remaining. Nate Dahl and Nathan Bunkosky came up big at the free throw line with three makes in four attempts and then Lee Marks III threw the dagger in with dunk in the final four seconds as the Huskies captured a 79-73 victory.

- Jamiir Allen continues his strong start to the season by scoring 15 points while shooting 6/11 from the field while making two three-pointers. Allen also grabbed five rebounds, dished three assists, and nabbed one steal. For the season, Allen has scored 14+ points in every game.
- Nate Dahl stuffed the stat sheet after tallying 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Dahl also made all seven of his free throw attempts and has scored 10+ points in every game this year.
- St. Cloud State is now 1-0 against Central Missouri all-time.
- The Huskies led the game in three-point percentage (47.06-30.43), three-point makes (8-7), free throw percentage (77.78-69.23), free throw makes (21-18), rebounds (39-25), offensive rebounds (14-6), assists (15-10), steals (6-5), second chance points (17-3), bench points (28-12), and fast break points (18-9).
- Wyatt Hawks scored in double-figures for the first time this season with 11 points on 4/6 shooting. Hawks also grabbed five rebounds and tallied a block and a steal.
- Lucas Morgan set a season-high in rebounds with 7. Morgan also scored seven points.
- Luke Winkel totaled seven points, four assists, and two steals.
