
Emma Gentry and Sanni Ahola Named to All-WCHA Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) has just announced the members of the All-WCHA Teams. St. Cloud State has two athletes representing the program: Sr. forward Emma Gentry (Alpena, Mich.) and Sr. Goaltender Sanni Ahola (Helsinki, Finland).Â

FIRST TEAM FOR SANNIÂ
Netminder Sanni Ahola has been named to the All-WCHA First Team after an unbelievable regular season for the Huskies. Ahola has been one of the best goaltenders in the nation, posting five shutouts and just 24 goals against. In 16 games played, Ahola has a .941 save percentage, a .951 goals against average, and 382 saves across 953.27 minutes played for the Huskies.Â
GENTRY MAKES THIRD TEAMÂ
Forward Emma Gentry has been selected to the All-WCHA Third team for her efforts during the 2023-24 season. Gentry has posted 12 goals, 6 assists, and 18 points this season. Gentry leads the Huskies in goals (12), game-winning goals (5), and shots (137) while she is third for points (18) and face off percent (54%). Â
This is the second time in St. Cloud State program history that an athlete has been named to the All-WCHA First team. The first was Emma Pulosny (2017-22) who also happens to be a goaltender.Â
The 2023-24 Forward, Defender, Goaltender, and Rookie of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, while Coach of the Year, Outstanding Scholar-Athlete, and Player of the Year will be announced on Thursday, March 7, 2024.Â
