
Eight from SCSU Swim & Dive Earn CSC Academic All-District

Huskies honored for their work in the pool and in the classroom
ST. CLOUD, MN. – Eight student-athletes from St. Cloud State Swim and Dive – senior Molly Arneson, senior Kara Cowell, junior Kailey Fossell, junior Anna Reschko, junior Jacob Andreasen, junior Max Matthaei, sophomore Avery Morton, and graduate student Jayden Porter – have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their academic and athletic achievements.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be a starter or key contributor with a 3.5 cumulative GPA at his or her institution and must participate in at least 50 percent of their team's meets at the position listed. A qualifying student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at his or her current institution and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
On the women's side, each of the athletes were contributors at the 2024 NSIC Conference Championships. Arneson scored in three of her four individual events, with 12th being her highest finish. Cowell earned points in three of her individual events, while also helping the 200 & 400 medley relays to finish fourth in both events. Fossell was the key contributor in the diving events for the Huskies. Finishing sixth in 3-meter and fifth in 1-meter diving. Reschko scored in all her individual events, with her highest finish of runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly. While also helping the 400 freestyle relay earn a runner-up finish.
For the men, Andreasen contributed to the team throughout the year and was a key component to team success at dual meets. Matthaei placed for the Huskies at the 2024 GLIAC Championships- swimming on the conference champion 200-medley relay team, while taking sixth in the 100-yard butterfly. Morton found success at GLIAC Conference Championships, scoring in two of his three events, while swimming on the 200 freestyle relay which earned third. Porter swam in five events at the 2024 GLIAC Championships, scoring in four. He swam on the conference champion 200 medley relay and on the runner up 400 medley relay, while also taking third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
