Huskies fall in straight sets for first time since season opener
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 11 St. Cloud State Volleyball (13-5, 8-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) dropped its second match in a row on Thursday evening at Halenbeck Hall in St. Cloud. No. 10 Concordia-St. Paul (13-4, 9-1 NSIC) swept the Huskies 25-22, 25-22, 25-21.
TOP HUSKIES
"We did some good things in the serve and pass game tonight but really struggled late in each set. Concordia just kept the pressure on us. They used lots of off-speed shots which really gave us fits. We had as many kills as they did for the match and did hold them well below their season attack percentage, but it's a match that a team like us has to win, at home, if we want to be one of the best in the NSIC."
NOTABLES
The Huskies close the week with a single match this weekend. SCSU travels to Winona to play Winona State (10-8, 5-5 NSIC) on Saturday. First serve from McCown Gymnasium is scheduled for 1 p.m. Links to each coverage option can be found on the St. Cloud State Volleyball schedule page.
