Kimm and Wachal post double-doubles in Huskies seventh straight win
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 13 St. Cloud State Volleyball (12-3, 7-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) completed a weekend sweep after defeating Sioux Falls (9-6, 4-3 NSIC) in four sets on Saturday afternoon at Halenbeck Hall. After dropping the first set, 20-25 the Huskies responded by winning the next three, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-19.
For the second consecutive season and the fourth time in program history, the Huskies are off to a 7-0 start to conference play.
TOP HUSKIES
"I was very impressed with our serving tonight. I thought we put good pace on the ball and served aggressively into the seams while mixing in a couple of toe serves, and some really deep endline serves. Attacking wise, we made way too many errors. We hit 15 balls into the net or out of bounds which is not a recipe for success, but we blocked fairly well, and we were able to do enough damage offensively that we ended up being successful in the long run. Set number one had to be one of the highest error sets we've had in a long time. By our scoring, we had 17 errors in the first set – you're not going to win sets like that ever and certainly not in the NSIC. But again, we rebounded after a rough start, and then really had pretty good control of the next three sets overall."
