St. Cloud State Athletics Names Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for October

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics recognized two student-athletes as the Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for October. Men's Hockey sophomore forward Austin Burnevik (Ham Lake, Minn.) was named Male Athlete of the Month while Women's Soccer senior forward Ellie Primerano (Saint Joseph, Mich.) was named Female Athlete of the Month for their performances during the month.

Austin Burnevik's October Highlights

8 GP: 9-3-12, +4, 35 SOG, 5 PPG, 3 GWG
Led the Huskies in goals (nine) and points (12) for the opening month of the season while ranking first and fourth among NCHC ranks, respectively.
Led the nation in power play goals (five) and game-winning goals (three) while rankings second in the nation overall goals (nine) in October.
Scored a point in every game in the month of October (eight games). He is one of three players in the nation to score a point in every game their team has played this season.
Extended his point streak to 10 games dating back to last season, as he becomes just the sixth Husky since 2002-03 to record a point streak of 10+ games. He joins Garrett Roe (14, 2007-08), Jonny Brodzinski (13, 2012-13), Drew LeBlanc (13, 2012-13) and Ryan Lasch (11, 2007-08; 10, 2007-08).
Has scored goals in four consecutive games, the longest streak by a Husky since Veeti Miettinen scored in six straight games between Oct. 20 – Nov. 11, 2023.

Ellie Primerano's October Highlights

9 GP: 3G, 3A, 9 pts, 2 GWG, 14 SOG
Scored five points with two goals and an assist in 4-1 win over Wayne State (Oct. 31). Matched a single game career-high with two goals, matching her mark from Nov. 2, 2023, against Minnesota Crookston.
Scored game-winning goals at Winona State (1-0, Oct. 17) and against Wayne State (4-1, Oct. 31).
Had assists against Concordia-St. Paul (1-1, Oct. 19), at MSU Moorhead (4-1, Oct. 24) and against Wayne State (Oct. 31).
Among program career records, ranks third in game-winning goals (nine), fourth in assists (18), sixth in scoring (52 points) and 10^th in goals (17).
