CLOUD, Minn. – No. 10 St. Cloud State Volleyball (20-6, 15-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) earned its 20th overall win and 15th conference win of the season with a straight set victory over No. 25 Minnesota Duluth (17-7, 10-7 NSIC) on Friday evening at Halenbeck Hall in St. Cloud. TOP HUSKIES
"This was definitely a game of runs – especially the first set when we were down a couple early then were up by quite a few, then gave Duluth a six-point run to tie it at 20, before we were able to finish the set off. I thought we served very aggressive the entire match, and there were a couple situations where we let them off the hook by missing some serves. Our eight aces and four errors, versus UMD's one ace and 11 errors really was the difference in the match. This was not close to our best offensive performance, but for the most part, we did a better job of minimizing errors as attackers. Our blocking was probably as good as it's been the entire season."
