No. 9 Huskies Shutout Minot State in 45-0 Win

SCSU moves to 5-0 on the year
Minot, N.D. – No. 9 St. Cloud State Wrestling (5-0, 2-0 NSIC) picked up their second conference win of the season as they shutout Minot State in a 45-0 win Saturday afternoon. St. Cloud State won seven of the bouts in bonus point fashion.
The Huskies got off to a strong start as they burst out to a 14-0 lead through three matches. Jeroen Smith and No. 2 Joel Jesuroga came away with major decisions at 149 and 157 respectively before Derek Johnson won by forfeit at 165.
At 174, Brody Hart used a key escape and riding time to secure a 6-4 decision victory. No. 3 Cole Glazier closed in on a tech fall at 184, but ultimately came away with a fall late in his bout as SCSU extended the lead to 24-0. Tyson Meyer tacked on an 11-6 decision and then Jadon Mims scored a quick fall in 1:25 at 285.
Moving back up to 125, Ben Aranda came away with a 15-8 decision. Dominic Ducato won by fall at 133 and Jayce Luna closed it out by scoring 12 points in the third period to capture a 13-1 major decision. The Huskies have not lost a match in any of the 20 bouts to start conference duals as they came away with a 45-0 shutout win against Minot State.
