
No. 1 Huskies End Dual Season With Undefeated Record, Beat No. 11 UMary 28-7

Huskies go 9-0 in the NSIC
Bismark, N.D.- No. 1 St. Cloud State Wrestling (14-0, 9-0 NSIC) wrapped up their dual season Sunday afternoon by defeating No. 11 UMary 28-7. The Huskies drew first blood in the dual as Conor Knopick came away with a pin to set the early score at 6-0. The Marauders would string together the next two matches to then take the lead as No. 1 Reece Barnhardt captured a major decision over Caleb Meekins and then No. 6 Sean Solis beat No. 13 Alyeus Craig 4-1. No. 13 Colby Njos got the Huskies back on a track as a third period takedown propelled him to a 5-0 decision. Regaining the lead, No. 1 Joel Jesuroga kept it rolling with a 14-3 major decision to put St. Cloud State up 13-7. Coming out of intermission, No. 3 Nick Novak used a first period takedown as well as two escapes and riding time to win 6-3 at 165. The lead continued to expand for the top ranked team as No. 2 Bryce Dagel, No.9 Bryce FitzPatrick, and No. 2 Dominic Murphy all captured decision victories as the score moved to 25-7. To close out the match, No. 5 La'Ron Parks came up with a takedown late in the first period which ultimately propped him over No.8 Luke Tweeton 4-1. With eight wins on the day, St. Cloud State closed out dual season with a 28-7 win against UMary.
