No. 13 Huskies Beat No. 6 Wisconsin-Parkside 25-15 to Threepeat as NSIC Champions

Huskies conclude dual season
Kenosha, Wis. – No. 13 St. Cloud State Wrestling (17-2, 10-0 NSIC) threepeated as NSIC Champions Saturday afternoon as they took down No. 6 Wisconsin-Parkside 25-15. SCSU won six of the 10 bouts with five wins in bonus point fashion.
The dual started at 285 where Zach Glazier once again set the tone with a tech fall. He would score seven takedowns on his way to a 21-5 victory as SCSU led 5-0. Moving to 125, Ben Aranda was defeated 3-0 against No. 5 Shane Corrigan. Corrigan tallied and escape in period two and then rode out Aranda in the third period starting out on top while adding a stalling point.
SCSU came away with the next two wins as Dominic Ducato added a major decision at 133 while Jayce Luna produced a tech fall. Ducato would win 16-3 as he was powered by four takedowns, two near-fall points, and riding time. Luna tallied three takedowns, eight nearfall points, and riding to win 18-2.
At 149, the Rangers came away with a disqualification win after the Huskies exceeded stall calls to set the score at 14-9.
At 157, No. 2 Joel Jesuroga held a 2-1 lead headed into the third period after notching an escape and stall point. With 15 seconds left, Jesuroga nabbed the left leg of No. 4 Easton Worachek to secure the takedown and then put him on his back and tallied four nearfall points. Jesuroga would stay unbeaten with the 9-1 major decision and added a key bonus point towards the team score in the process.
UWP would take the next two matches, both by decision, to set the score at 18-15 as only two bouts remained.
At 184, No. 2 Cole Glazier faced off against Lowell Arnold. Glazier would call game as a 14-2 major decision sealed the dual victory and NSIC Championship for the Huskies. He would tally three takedowns, two nearfall points, a reversal, and a stall point to win 14-2.
Tyson Meyer put the finishing touches on the match as a late takedown in the third period partnered with riding time propelled him to a 5-1 decision over No. 13 Jordan Blanchard. The Huskies would ultimately win 25-15 over No. 6 Wisconsin-Parkside to claim the NSIC Title.
