ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics recognized two student-athletes as the Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for January. Men's Basketball junior guard Wyatt Hawks (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was named Male Athlete of the Month while Women's Basketball's sophomore guard Rachel Kottke (Buffalo Lake, Minn.) was named Female Athlete of the Month for their performances during the month.

- Averaged 10.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks.
- Shot 44% from the field, 33% from three, and 84.6% from the free throw line.
- Neared a triple-double in the Huskies 92-87 OT win over Minnesota Duluth with 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists where he shot 8-for-11 from the field.
- Grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds to go with 11 points and four blocks in SCSU's 72-60 win over UMary.
- Entered the top 10 in career blocks at St. Cloud State with 100 which currently ranks fifth. Produced 4+ blocks in four games with a career-high six blocks in two games.
- Totaled four double-doubles in the month.
- Helped lead the Huskies to a 10-0 month to sit in first place in the NSIC with a 14-2 conference record.
- SCSU is on a 10-game win streak (longest since 2017-18) and are undefeated at home with a 10-0 record (longest home unbeaten streak since 2007-08).
- Ranks first in the NSIC in rebounding and second in blocks.
- Averaged 11.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
- Shot 50% from the field, 41.6% from three, and 88.2% from the free throw line.
- Scored a career-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting to go with seven rebounds in the Huskies 80-71 win over Minot State.
- Produced her second 20+ point game of the month with a 21-point outing in SCSU's 79-72 win over Jamestown. Added five rebounds, three assists, and five steals while shooting 6-of-9 from the field with three three-pointers.
- Notched her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the Huskies 70-39 win over Northern State. Shot 7-of-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from three.
- Named NSIC South Player of the Week following the wins over Jamestown and Northern State. Kottke led the conference in field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and steals for the week.
- St. Cloud State went 5-4 during January.
- Currently eighth in the NSIC in assists.
