Huskies Win Third Straight Game with 72-56 Win over Sioux Falls on Senior Day

St. Cloud, MN. – St. Cloud State Women's Basketball (11-12, 8-10 NSIC) won their third straight game with a 72-56 mark over Sioux Falls Saturday afternoon. Senior Jada Eggebrecht scored 27 points on Senior Day.
St. Cloud State found themselves in a 6-1 deficit two and a half minutes in the game. From that point, SCSU rattled off an 8-0 run as a jumper by Alana Zarneke forced a Sioux Falls timeout. The Huskies kept the momentum rolling with stifling defense and complementary offense as they ballooned the lead to 11 points following a three by Jada Eggebrecht. SCSU would lead 19-8 after the first quarter as they held Sioux Falls to 40% from the field and a six-minute scoring drought. Eggebrecht stayed hot from three to start the second as she cashed two threes to open the quarter. She would drain her third three of the quarter as the Huskies now led 32-14 at the 6:24 mark of the second quarter. St. Cloud State went into halftime leading 43-26 after Kristi Kottke putback a layup right before the buzzer sounded.
The second half saw similar results as the Huskies led by 14+ points the rest of the half with a lead as big as 22 points. SCSU produced a strong defensive outing as they forced 24 turnovers leading to 23 points. The Huskies would ultimately win 72-56 for their third straight win.

- Jada Eggebrecht led the Huskies in scoring with 27 points on an efficient 9/14 from the field and 6/7 shooting from three. She also produced two assists and four stocks (two blocks and steals). This was the second time that Eggebrecht has scored 27+ points this season. The Philipps, Wisconsin native moved to 13th all-time in career points and 6th in career three-pointers made.
- Ashley Sawicki tallied 10 points (5/8), five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Sawicki has scored 8+ points and grabbed 5+ rebounds in three straight games.
- Abigail O'Reilly totaled 10 points (3/6), four rebounds, two assists, and a career-high three steals. This was the ninth game that O'Reilly has scored in double figures this season.
- SCSU honored their four seniors in CJ Adamson, Jada Eggebrecht, Brynn Olson, and Ashley Sawicki following the game.
