St. Cloud State Wrestling’s Brady Wilson Named Head Coach at Minnesota State

Wilson departs SCSU after 15 seasons, five team national championships and 14 conference championships
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Wrestling Associate Head Coach Brady Wilson has been named the Head Coach of Minnesota State, as announced by the school Monday morning. Wilson has spent the past 15 years as an assistant coach for the Huskies, with the past six being under the title of Associate Head Coach.
During Wilson's tenure, the Huskies tallied a remarkable record of 235-10 with a 119-1 record in NSIC duals. After Wilson joined the staff in 2011-12, St. Cloud State has reached incredible heights with five team NCAA Championships, eight NWCA National Duals Championships, 11 Super Region Championships, and 14 NSIC Championships.
With Wilson mat side, SCSU accumulated 114 NCAA Qualifiers, with 87 earning All-America status. Additionally, 103 Huskies have earned NSIC All-Conference honors with nine named conference Wrestlers of the Year and six named conference Rookies of the Year.
In the classroom, 137 wrestlers have earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors with 87 academic All-NSIC honorees and 10 CSC Academic All-American nods.
Wilson returns to Minnesota State where he was a four-time All-American at heavyweight with all four of his placements being in the top five. He was also a Runner-Up in 2010 and holds the most career wins in Maverick history with 143. He also served as a graduate assistant coach in the 2010-11 season.
