St. Cloud State Athletics Names Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for March

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics recognized two student-athletes as the Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for March. Wrestling redshirt junior 157-pounder Joel Jesuroga (Pleasant Hill, Iowa) was named Male Athlete of the Month while Softball senior pitcher Macey Clark (Winneconne, Wis.) was named Female Athlete of the Month for their performances during the month.

Joel Jesuroga's March Highlights

Went 3-1 at the NCAA Championships to become an All-American.
Finished as a national runner-Up for the second straight season, becoming the 13^th Husky to reach multiple national championship matches.
Beat the seven seed and three seed en route to the championship match.
Earned all-America honors for the second straight season.
Finished the season with a 24-1 record.

Macey Clark's March Highlights

Made 11 appearances with 10 starts while going 5-3 with five complete games, two shutouts and two one-hitters.
Recorded a 1.96 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP over 57.0 innings pitched.
Struck out 54 batters while only walking 17.
Held opposing batters to a.199 batting average.
Ranked among the top 50 DII pitchers in hits allowed/7 innings (24^th, 4.73), WHIP (28^th, 0.99), ERA (29^th, 1.58), wins (39^th, 11), strikeouts (44^th, 92) and starts (48^th, 16) at the end of the month.
Tied her then-career high for strikeouts in a game with 11 in a shutout of Minot State on March 21.
Struck out a career-high 12 batters against Jamestown on March 28.
Helped the team to a 14-8 record during the month and a 7-1 start to Northern Sun play.
