Bio
2011-12: Competed in the 100 & 200 back, the 200 and 400 IM, the 100 breast and the 200 free in his freshman season…took third in the final stats with a time of 1:56.04 in the 200 backstroke and was fifth by touching the wall in :53.36 in the 100 backstroke…swam legs in the 400 free, 800 free, 200 medley and 400 medley relays…won the 100 back on Jan. 14, 2012.
HIGH SCHOOL: Chris Tung was a standout breast/IM middle distance swimmer for Reno High School…a team captain in his final two seasons…earned top honors in the 200 free at the 2010 Northern Nevada Regional meet and also garnered All-American status in the 400 free relay back in 2009…a school record holder in the 400 free relay…lettered three times in tennis during his prep career…a member of the National Honor Society for his final two years of high school.
PERSONAL: The son of Jack and Jane Tung of Reno, Nev…coached by Pete Schouweiler in high school…plans to major in pre-physical therapy at St. Cloud State.
