2015-16: Played 27 games in her junior season with the Huskies ... Ranked third on the team with 318 total points on the season, averaging 11.8 points per game ... Finished the season second on the team in assists, racking up 93 ... Went 56 for 61 at the line (.918) ... Named to the 2015-16 NSIC Acadmic All-Conference Team.
2014-15: Named to 2014-15 All-NSIC Academic team...ranked third on the team with 11.3 ppg...led the Huskies with 3.1 assist per game...averaged 2.8 rebounds per game...had 14 double-digit scoring games in 2014-15...had 22 points vs. Minnesota State Mankato on Jan. 2...had 26 points against Northern State on Feb. 13, 2015...named Academic All-Conference.
2013-14: Played in 27 games in her first year with the Huskies...scored a total of 99 points for the season averaging 3.7 points per game...grabbed a total of 23 rebounds...made 5 of 6 free throw attempts (.833)...recorded a season-high of 23 points against Minot State (12/13/2013)...made a single game record for Best 3 Point Field Goal Percentage making 7 of 7 against Minot State...made a single game recorded for Best Field Goal Percentage putting up 8 of 8 against Minot State (12/13/2013).
HIGH SCHOOL: MacDonald graduated from St. Paul Central High School in the Spring of 2013. A point guard and two-year team captain, MacDonald earned several awards including two-time All-Conference honors, All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention, team MVP, Rookie of the Year and Coaches Award. As a junior she averaged 11.0 points, three rebounds and three assists per game. MacDonald is a member of the soccer team. She is a team captain and three-time All-Conference soccer selection. She also earned Honorable Mention All-Conference and All-State awards and was named Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
“Betsy is a tremendous point guard who knows how to get her teammates involved,” Fish said. “She has the ability to create her own shot and can score in a variety of ways.”
Personal: Betsy is the daughter of James and Nan MacDonald and is a Community Psychology major and Human Relations minor at St. Cloud State.
