2024-25 (FRESHMAN): Earned All-NCHC Rookie Team honors in his freshman campaign, becoming the sixth Husky forward to earn the honor from the NCHC and 14^th to earn the honor overall … Became the first freshman in program history to lead the team in goals and points, scoring 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points … Led the Huskies in goals (13), points (28), game-winning goals (two), power play goals (six) and shots on goal (110) … Became the first Husky freshman since 2012-13 to lead the team in goals (Jonny Brodzinski, 22) and first since 2020-21 to lead the team in points (Veeti Miettinen, 24) … His 13 goals rank 17^th among SCSU freshmen all-time and were the most since 2017-18 (Easton Brodzinski, 14) … Finished the season ranked second among NCHC freshmen in goals (13), assists (15) and points (28) … Scored the first two goals of his career in a 4-3 win over Bemidji State (Oct. 11) … Had season-best three-point performance with a goal and two assists at Bemidji State (Oct. 12) … Was named NCHC Rookie of the Week after a three-goal, five-point performance against Bemidji State (Oct. 11-12) … Had an assist in 4-0 win over No. 10/9 Michigan (Oct. 19) … Earned second NCHC Rookie of the Week honor after scoring three goals and a +3 mark on the ice against Miami (Nov. 8-9) … Found the back of the net with a power play tally and game-winning score in 3-2 win over No. 7/8 Colorado College (Nov. 22) … Had a goal and assist for two points at North Dakota (Dec. 14) … Had an assist in three consecutive games between Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 … Scored at Omaha (Jan. 24) and against North Dakota (Feb. 1) … Had a three-point weekend with a goal and two assists in Colorado College series (Feb. 21-22) … Had an assist in each game of NCHC Quarterfinals series at No. 3 Western Michigan (March 14-15).

Before SCSU: Played for the USHL’s Madison Capitols in 2023-24, earning All-USHL Third Team honors after scoring 40 goals and 31 assists for 71 points with a +21 mark on the ice in 61 games … Ranked in the USHL’s top-10 in numerous offensive categories, including second in goals (40), seventh in points (71) and seventh in power play goals (11) … Spent two seasons with the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) where he played with the U17, U18 and Juniors teams, totaling 34 goals and 42 assists for 76 points … Prepped for two seasons at Totino-Grace High School (2019-21) where he scored 33 goals and 35 assists for 68 points in 44 games … Attended the Anaheim Ducks’ summer development camp in July 2024.

Personal: Son of Erik and Christine Burnevik … Major is Business … Both parents are alum of SCSU, grew up going to Huskies games … Outside of hockey, enjoys golf and spending every day with the “guys”.
