2022-23: Earned Academic All-Conference & Distinguished Scholar Athlete from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference … Appeared in 22 games in third season with the Huskies, recording 14 shots on goal and 17 blocks … Had two blocks in home-opening win over St. Thomas (Oct. 2) … Had four blocks on the blue line in win over No. 2 Minnesota State (Oct. 22).

2021-22: Earned NCHC Academic All-Conference & Distinguished Scholar Athlete honors … Played in 12 games in sophomore campaign, recording two assists on the season … Had assists against Denver (Feb. 4) and Western Michigan (Feb. 11).

2020-21: As a first year, Ziemer appeared in 17 games as a defenseman for the Huskies. He finished the year with two points and scored his first collegiate goal in a 5-3 win over Omaha on December 6.

Before SCSU: Ziemer played junior hockey during the 2019-20 season with Green Bay of the USHL, where he had one goal and six assists in 45 games played. In 2018-19, Ziemer posted four goals and 15 assists on the blue line for the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL. A 2018 graduate of Holy Family Catholic H.S...played high school hockey for coach Noel Rahn...Ziemer served as a team captain during his four seasons of prep hockey. He notched 19 goals and 62 assists in four years at Holy Family, including seven goals and 22 assists during his senior season in 2017-18...also played baseball in high school.

Personal: The son of Eric and Nicole Ziemer...a business major at SCSU...enjoys boating, hunting and fishing.
